It bothered me how the plot was so similar to Borat - come to America be totally perplexed with the culture, find lover etc. also another part i found funny in the first hour was the red headed guy and bruno getting locked together and then the shit storm that ensued, especially when they run into the anti gay parade. (wonder if that really happened). One question i had was how did they figure out that scene with the agent and bruno getting the anal cleansing the timing seemed perfect?...thats is

It wasn't that I found the portrayal of homosexuality offensive, it was more that I knew others wouldn't. People like you and I (and Cohen) are smart enough to understand the character for what he is- an obviously over-the-top gay stereotype. But the average dumbass, like those seen posting remarks on movie sites like "SO FUNNY!! BUT SO MUCH MORE DICK IN THIS ONE, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT THOUGH, HE'S A FAG LOLZ ROFLCOPTER!!1!", will view his portrayal just as the victims in the movie did. Not only will they not understand that the joke is actually on them, but it just perpetuates their worst homophobic fears: that this is actually how all gay people are. He gives his audience far too much credit. To me it's like a white man dressing up as a black man in 1960 and paraded around the south singing slave songs while trying to sexually harass white women. While funny to the people who know it's satirical, all it would do for simple minded people is confirm their racist beliefs and set back the fight for equality.

But anywho, yeah I agreed with pretty much everything. Except I didn't laugh at any of your first three 'big laughs' so it was real rough for that first hour, lol.
